Gastronomic Tradition: Virgen del Carmen day menu

This festival takes place in the middle of March, the 16 March being the main day. The fishing town of El Grove is decked out for the celebration and the square of O Corgo becomes the main site of all the folkloric, recreational and religious activities, dedicated to the sea and the towns people. On the afternoon of 16 March, the seamen lead a maritime procession accompanied by the image of the Virgin of Carmen, to whom they pay homage, to leave a floral tribute to all those who have lost their life at sea.

For this reason, at the Punta Vendaval restaurant at Hotel Louxo, visitors and hotel guests alike can enjoy a special menu to mark Virgen del Carmen day, with local specialities and the best traditional cuisine made with new culinary techniques.
